Strangeway Brewing in Scott’s Addition!
Known for their sour and funky beers, Strangeway also knows their way around the more classical styles, and does a fine job on all of them.
This brewery and tap room, located in Richmond’s Scott’s Addition, is their third location since first opening their doors on Dabney Rd in Richmond in 2013.
My first taste of Strangeway was not at the tap room, but at the 2nd Annual Hops in the Park Festival at Henricus Historical Park in 2015. I sampled their Rot in Hell Pumpkin Sour, and it nearly knocked me off my feet. I had never tasted anything like it, and it was amazing. They even had a back story to go with it that told the tale of hoards of helpless pumpkins being viciously plucked from the vine and carted off to… Oops. Sorry. Not my story to tell. You can get the rest at Strangeway.
To Strangeway Brewing: May your taps never run dry.
Salute!
