Hit Rock Bottom Short Pump for the best local hand-crafted beers and made-from-scratch foods in the Richmond area. We’re located in Short Pump Town Center right next to Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Rock Bottom is bringing back the original meaning of the Short Pump name. According to legend, Ninteenth-century stage coach drivers hailed each other just beyond the fork where Broad Street now crosses Three Chopt Road. A tavern stood there and when the pump’s long handle had to be cut off to work under the new roof it then became a short handled pump. In the days when the tavern was a carriage stop between Richmond and Charlottesville, drivers would often say “See you at the Short Pump.”

Today, the tavern is gone, but Rock Bottom is brewing and is now the new spot to meet your friends and have a local handcrafted beer. With Becky, our local brewer, brewing new local recipes all the time, we are sure you will find one that will keep you coming back for more.
