On July 20th, AlterNatives in Carytown in Richmond, VA will be hosting The Bluegrass & Brews Festival. This event will honor the values of indigenous and mountain people with homegrown music, brews, and Southern Cuisine, in an event the whole community will enjoy.
Garden Grove Brewing Company, Legend Brewing, Hardywood, Center of the Universe, and Starr Hill will be on hand serving their finest hand crafted brews, and Rose & Eddie’s will be there serving their made from scratch, down-home good cooking.
And performing live Adam Dawson, Amanda Beason, Charlie and the Darlings, The Come Hears, The Folly, K.F.C., Matt Monta, Ol’Riles Band, Tony Farris with Jon Green, and Wes & Rebecca will be bringing the mountains to you with some great Bluegrass music!
The event is free to attend. Beer will be $6, and food items will be priced individually. There will also be raffles and silent auctions to help raise money to provide assistance to these communities!

The Bluegrass & Brews Festival is befitting the Highland Support Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in Richmond which partners with indigenous communities across the Americas to improve the quality of life and ecological health of these communities by providing financial and technical assistance for community-managed programs to address critical environmental and social issues to protect, preserve, and restore Mountain regions across the Americas.
