Chances are you’ve never heard of Alt Platz Brewing Company, but up until now it represented Portsmouth’s lone bid to cash in on craft beer. The small brewpub opened to little fanfare on High Street in 2006, and closed two years later.
It took nearly 10 years, and the help of local leaders, but the city is back in the game thanks to the opening of MoMac Brewing Company and Legend Brewing Depot.
