Ono Brewing is Celebrating their 1st year with a Hawaiian Luau Party!

Ono Brewing is a tropical-themed craft brewery located in Chantilly, VA. “Ono” means “delicious” or “tasty” in Hawaiian, and this brewery is doing a great job of living up to that name.

In addition to exceptional Hawaiian inspired craft beers such as the Huli Pau Marzen, Island Time Coconut Brown, Riptide IPA, and Tsunami DIPA, Odd BBQ is now located inside their tasting room and offering up a menu of delicious barbeque platters and specialty sandwiches.

Have you ever wish you could just go behind the bar and pull your own pint? Well at Ono Brewing you can. They have the area’s first state of the art self-serve beer wall that allows you to pour your own beer, and you only pay for what you pour. Just a taste, half glass, or a full pour- it’s up to you!

But Ono is more than just a brewery with a unique tropical atmosphere,  handcrafted beers, and great bbq.

When owners Scott and Cyndi Hoffman were in the planning stages of their brewery, they felt a strong need to give back to the community. So with that goal in mind, they select a different local charity to support each month, and 50% of all tips/gratuities collected that month are donated to that charity! In their first year, Ono Brewing Company supported twelve local charities and donated a grand total of $25,062.36!!

To celebrate a great first year, Ono Brewing is throwing an all-day Hawaiian Luau party!  Begin at 2pm on September 29, there will be twelve different Hawaiian music and hula dancing performances, Hawaiian crafters and vendors, lei making demonstrations, an outdoor pork buffet featuring Hawaiian Kalua pork from Odd BBQ, a visit from Kona Ice truck with Hawaiian shaved ice, and of course some of the finest craft beer in northern Virginia!

This is sure to be a great event, and if you miss it, you will probably have to listen to your friends talking about all the great things you missed- until next year.

Cheers!
