Hundreds attend Craft Brewers Festival in Charlottesville (via Tyler Hawn)
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (NEWSPLEX) — Craft breweries from all over Virginia came to showcase their talents at the Craft Beer Festival on Saturday.
Nearly 100 breweries came out to the IX Art Park to showcase their talents with tastings and drinks for hundreds of people.
Craft beer is a big part of Virginia’s economy, and organizers say the festival is just one part of that.
“It’s a major point of our economy,” said Geroge Kastendize, Three Notch’d Brewing Company CEO. “Many entrepeneurs have opened up breweries across the state on a regular basis, and for this industry to provide opportunity to a lot of entrepeneurs, you can’t beat it.”
Three Notch’d Brewing Company also had a soft opening for its new location in Charlottesville as a part of Saturday’s festival.
It is expected to officially open in September.
